I am the CEO and Historian of the Georgia Automobile Racing Hall of Fame Association, Inc. We need to meet! When? Where? We were going to meet with Robert Turner but he seems so busy we can''t settle on a date. Also, we are to meet a gentleman from Hiawassee that is going to tell us about the old circle track there. Call me at home at night at 404-321-6194

Does anyone remember a ''55-''56 or so Plymouth called the "Big Orange". It was orange, powered by a late hemi (well late for ''65) and had an altered wheel base. It ran at the Double H a few times.

Richard ....what a great job you have done on this website! So glad that the Apple Festival Car Show turned out so well - I look forward to seeing pictures from the event and your excursions to old race sites in the area.

Sorry to have missed you in Blairsville. I picked up one of your cards at O''Rileys Parts store. I had been away from the website for awhile and didn''t know you were coming. The property where Loyds was belongs to one of my cousins and I would have been glad to have shown you around and told you where everything was. Let me know if you are coming back this way. You have my e-mail address.

Just heard about your site today and, after viewing, was thrilled at what you have put together. I have lived in GA since ''65 and was unaware of the HH strip. The ''60s to me were absolutely the "gllory days" of drag racing. Great site!!

I liked your site.

Hey Richard - Thanks so much for your encouragement both at the track in Memphis and in this on our "Memphis Blues". What a pleasure it was to meet and spend time with you! Happy Trails until we see you again! Lou Dockery

I am trying to find information on my father who raced in the Georgia circuit in the 1960''s. His name was Harold Atkins, and he drove a ''55 Chevy. I can''t recall the name of it, but it was red...and given the number of trophies I remember as a child, I assume he faired fairly well. If anyone has any insight into this part of my father''s life, could you contact me at jatkins703@yahoo.com. Thanks.
